Comparing FL to CT is like comparing a racoon to rhineceros. CT is tiny in comparison to FL. TN is a small state too, still double the size of people of CT.

The South has many states. Take Georgia for example, or SC or NC-- very attractive to many northerners. Certain parts of Alabama too. And I am not even talking about TX taking in so many California people and businesses.

I went from Colorado, lived there 26 years, moved to North FL,would not consider south FL.,lived there 25 plus years.
It does not boggle my mind after owning home here in Ct for 3 years and now living here for 1 year, how much more equitable FL was.
My family roots date back to 1918 in Ct,better years have past.

Oh you know, only one of the most corrupt in the nation.

Went out of his way to ban using the term 'climate change'.
He oversaw the largest Medicare fraud in U.S. history
Purchased a ton of hospitals (Columbia/HCA) which under his leadership ended up with a 1.7 billion dollar fraud settlement.

In these same hospitals he "cut" costs to the point of severe health care quality loss.

Quote:
— Susan Marks, a technician at one of Scott’s hospitals, was forced to monitor 72 heart monitors by herself. Marks explained, “I have to. I’ve been told you either do it, or there’s the door.” [ABC News, 9/26/97]

— Scott downsized nursing staffs, created conditions where “babies were attended as infrequently as every three hours. Once, the only nurse caring for seven ill infants was so busy she failed to hear an alarm when a baby stopped breathing. A parent dashed to the baby and stimulated breathing, the state report said.” [New York Times, 5/11/97]

 — Hospital workers in Florida complained, “gloves come in only one size, and rip easily.” In addition, California employees protested “filthy conditions,” and being “stretched to the limit” as Scott’s company slashed “the ratio of nurses to patients.” [Money Driven Medicine, pg. 119]

So yeah, there's that.

The thing is retirees are moving to FL because of the low taxes as in the past, but now the young are as well because there are no jobs in CT.

This state has no future

Oh no, not this stupid "study" again. Every year we discuss the flaws in this which are too many to take this seriously. Just another blip on the screen. Jay

CT does have one of the lowest birth rates, which is usually due to widespread affluence. According to Wikipedia looks like CT is a good bit below replacement rate.
