If they legalize it for recreational use, and I hope they do for the tax benefit and to remove the criminal stigma associated to it, I guarantee we will be the last state in the Northeast to do so. Look at us -- we couldn't even buy beer on Sunday until 2012 because we'd lose our Puritan traditions (oh, the horror!) This state is the caboose part of New England on so many levels.

I am not necessarily a supporter of legalizing recreational marijuana but since Massachusetts has already done it, I think Connecticut has no choice but to do it as well. What the state is creating by keeping it illegal is a situation similar to what happened with alcohol back in the 60's. New York allowed 18 year olds to drink but Connecticut did not so you had thousands of kids driving to New York to legally drink. Needless to say that there were a lot of accidents and people killed because of this. I see a similar thing happening again and for what, because some Legislators refused to come into the 21st Century in their thinking. Unfortunately Connecticut is a small state so what our neighbors do affect us whether we like it or not. This is a prime example of that. Jay

I am a huge supporter of legalizing marijuana and prostitution. For decriminalizing victimless crimes. Fireworks being legal to sell.

The tax benefits make it logical, a no brainer, a slam dunk. Therefore it will never happen.
100% for it, and that's from someone who's never dabbled or had any interest.

Absolutely all for it. People are going to use it or not use it anyway, regardless of legality. So tax it.

By "wet weed", do you mean honey oil?
