Well that settles it.

Lamont/Bysiewicz (D) vs Stefanowski/Markley (R)

Republicans might have thrown away their chance to easily take the race.

At 10:40 I saw Mark Boughton concede to Stefanowski.

Tomorrow I will change my party affiliation back to unaffiliated then go to Ned Lamont's website and put my name in to help his campaign.

The Republicans in this state have gone off the deep end. They have picked the one person* that makes me (the unaffiliated centrist) want to hurl when I see him.

* PS: I didn't like Foley but I didn't want to hurl when I saw him.

Is Stefanowski more conservative than Boughton?

As I understand his positions, yes. He is to the right of Boughton and is yet another 1%er from Fairfield County that the Republicans have slapped up there. It's Tom Foley all over the again, with a helping of Donald Trump and Joe Markley, one of the most Conservative state senators out there, if not the most conservative. Together the two are more to the right of both of Foley's runs.

Lamont sounded really good in his speech tonight. He has undeniably secured my vote.

I was a branch manager of a bank (County Federal Savings) and worked in the loans mortgage department before I went to art school. We helped people get affordable loans in an honest manner.

Bob Stefanowski's DFC Global took advantage of millions of US and UK citizens. INCLUDING VETERANS.

Now do you see why this guy makes we want to hurl?

Something really interesting to note with only 90% of the precincts in, taking a look 8 years ago when both races were contested...

R 2010 v 2018:

120,171 voters
139,035 voters (90.4% in)

D 2010 v 2018:

180,926 voters
194,221 voters (90.6% in)

Really surprising, and probably a bad sign for the GOP if Lamont's landslide against Ganim still produced an increase over his competitive race with Malloy... It's not really a good sign for the GOP when Lamont (160k) has more votes than the entire Republican primary field.

Shouldn’t we be comparing the 2014 numbers not the 2010 numbers?

I don't know who I will vote for in November*
Could vote for Stefanowski but not sure if I could vote for Markley
I will vote for Hattfield
Not sure who I'll vote for Senator. Will wait and see who runs as an Independent
Will vote for Santos but Hayes will win the 5th District
Treasurer and Comptroller will vote Republican.

I don't know if I could vote for Lamont. I mean does have some good ideas. However, few of the ideas seem to add more to the debt than resolve it.

I might not even vote for Governor.

Think any of the previous candidates will run as Independents?

Dem primary wasn't open in 2014 and Foley cruised over McKinney so no.

But how did today’s republican turn out numbers compare?
