That is the views of the extremes of the two parties except the bolded. Unfortunately that is what we keep getting as the base of the two parties vote for the most extreme candidates.

My centrist view is balanced which I believe is bolded above. The centrist people I like would never be put forth by the two parties who frankly have both gone off the deep end of the two extremes.

Obsitnik* was the real centrist compared to all the other Democratic and Republicans candidates but it looks like hell would have to freeze over in this state before a moderate is put forth again.

*Also Erin Stewart who I wanted to vote for.

Was thinking more of:
Republican
Democrat
Independent
Libertarian

Don't bother with that argument. Independents are far to intelligent for that.

The greatest Democratic/socialist president in history worked on Wall Street too. His name was Franklin D Roosevelt. That is why he was such a great DEMOCRATIC president. He understood all the shenanigans that was happening on Wall Street. He in inherited great wealth too.

I have no problem with Ned Lamont inheriting money and working on Wall Street as he wants to HELP the common middle class and poor man. I do have problems with Republicans that inherit great wealth and work on Wall Street as they want to SCREW the common middle class and poor man.

You see, there is a vast difference in Lamont and Stefanowski.
The poor dont pay much in the way of taxes already.
Look at Lamonts campaigns from other elections. Not the same guy.

FDR isnt running.

Your the one who earlier said you didnt like Wall St people, not i.

Now your simply saying you like D, but not R.
Stef wasnt born into money by the way. Modest upbringing.

We all been getting screwed by the Democrats who control the St gov for the last 30 or so years. They are owned by the unions. Making promises they cant keep. Not funding the pensions. Its only going to get worse.
We need to do what Walker in Wisconsin did.
Is it fair....no. life isnt fair.
But math doesnt lie.....these union deals are not sustainable.
These pensions for you and i to have the same benefit would require a 7 figure annuity to be saved for each of us.

Its like the bad Russian joke...."You pretend to pay us, we pretend to work"
Except this is not funny.

Boughton's complaints are some of the many reasons all elections should be publicly funded. No private donations, no pacs, no personal money. Everyone gets the same amount.

There should also be a time limit on campaigning such as 3 - 6 months before the election. No reason candidates should be campaigning for 1+ years.

Griebel and Lamont debate September 5th

Do respect Stefanowski and Lamont and is far as I know are good people. Their political ideals are too far Right and Legt respectively. One side affects the poor the other spirals CT further into debt.

Though don't agree with Oz and Monte on adding tolls and how they infringe on personal liberties they offer the most Centrist viewpoint and can bring Bipartisan leadership to this State. Do believe they can start to bridge the Parties together to find real solutions for the State.

So hopefully the Debate on the 5th will solidify with Independents who to vote for and bring voters from the Republicans & Democrats to vote for Oz & Monte!

I guess Mark Stewart Greenstein might make it as well. Someone actually was collecting signatures for him where I work. It looks like he's a perrenial type, as he's even run for President before.

But when all taxes are considered, the poor pay a higher percentage of their income in taxes than anyone else.
