I think they can modify that warning for central CT. It's not going to be a blizzard for southern Hartford County.

Total Accumulations 8.2" so far. Still sleeting. Amazing not a drop of rain considering it is not far from here.

Top layer of snow heavy as heck. Bottom layer fluffy. Makes sense. Ratios started higher at the beginning of storm.

1:35pm Map. So close I can almost touch the center of the storm. LOL. Incredible I haven't been rain being its Mid March with a storm that close.

Almost done here but look behind it. Washington DC getting hit with the backside wrap around

NYC still reporting Sleet and Mix. Not sure if they were plain rain at any time.

Interesting side note about NYC, at least Central Park. Today was the 3rd lowest record precip of any date (1.02" in 1956). That was broken. The snowfall record, also set in 1956 (so I'm guessing similar situation with snow and then a mix) was 4.1". The last measurement they posted was 4.0" at 8am so that is almost certainly broken too.

BDR's precip and snow records for the date are 1.28 in 1997 and 3.0" in 1958 so they were probably shattered today! BDR's record low high for the date is 34 in 1993 but they just jumped up to 36 so that won't be broken.

1140 out of JFK.. so I paid the price for a ticket out of whiteplains (usually more expensive) for a ticket out of JFK. Traveling with a dog, HPN is great because of the short lines and relatively quick experience... not to mention said dog is having a cow and not going to the bathroom today because she's tiny and hates snow !

All of a sudden the sky got real bright. Think we will see the sun before it's due to set?

Facetimed the family this morning, looks nasty about 8-10" in Wallingford that is now sleet/freezing rain. Meanwhile last night I crossed Canal and checked out the French Quarter. Sunny and warm here today, stay safe everyone!

Over a foot snow is starting to transition to sleet. Wind is picking up. 11.5 inches of snow in Waterbury.

Didn't measure but it sure likes 9-12 inches. Just got done shoveling...... I am an shape person but wow was that snow brutally heavy. Light rain here...... Thankfully this storm wasn't too terrible for my area at least.
My employees kept me up to date with texts. They said almost a foot by the dealership...... Thankfully the owners decided to close up at 1:00.

Sleeting here now. It is about 12 inches or so from what I can tell. Still have the camera running, I will compile it over the weekend. Should be interesting to watch at least.
