And of course there is beautiful Mystic which is one of our state's biggest tourist destinations. Jay
Southport's village is tiny; there's like 10 storefronts there.

It is not the stores, it is the homes and their architecture. Just stunning. Beautiful old Greek Revivals and colonials overlooking a small picturesque harbor. Very impressive. Jay

There's a reason a billionaire lives on the water in Southport near the harbor.

I agree with you that the immediate area around the harbor/inlet is one of the jewels of real estate in America. Stunningly pretty and tranquil (other than the property taxes).

Agreed its the nicest coastal scenery in western CT along with the 5 Mile River delta between Darien and Norwalk and the bluffs on Beachside Ave's Golden Mile.

In addition to Bull and former NCIS star Michael Weatherly's very wealthy father. His father is the importer of Swiss army knifes. His house is right overlooking the harbor. Beautiful. Jay

Yeah that's really the only negative to Niantic even with it though its a nice community with wonderful shorefront. When I used to go to a friends house in Blackpoint I was amazed the number of wealthy families from NYC that had houses there with a view of the cooling tower, but I think you get used to it after a while.

Don't think I have ever been thru Southport looks nice in pics. Always liked Rowayton out that way. Old Lyme has a couple Billionaires as well.

Taxes and Housing bit cheaper than New York State plus those shoreline towns are laid back.
