I was driving up 25 through Trumbull, Monroe, Newtown last night. 25 in Monroe on both sides was absolutely riddled with monster potholes. Dozens. Some impossible to avoid.

The weather was certainly the perfect setup for it. Cold then immediately warm/wet.

No other potholes in the rest of my trip from Milford to Brookfield. Just that stretch in Monroe. Seems like it's overdue for paving.

Anyone else encounter anything like that this weekend?

Yeah, I was driving up 188 in Oxford a few weeks ago when visiting my parents and there were potholes everywhere. Literally had to cross the yellow line to avoid them. I'm not sure why --- it hasn't been a terrible Fall/Winter.

Aghhhh....sorry for you. Just rode down a highway and tons of potholes. I will blow a tire for sure on that road. Hope they can at least patch until repaving.

Seriously you steer to miss one and almost hit another. Some are pretty dangerous looking if you drive a Yaris or Mazda 2 sized vehicle.

Driving to Danbury was brutal today on 84 west

Also it's creepy to drive by sandy hook exit still.

There were so many on 25 (dozens) that it was impossible to miss them. Also the fact that it was raining obscured them to just look like puddles.

Really wish I hadn't driven on that last night.

That sucks about your rim. Probably can find one on eBay or Craigslist if you need a replacement.

If its an expensive one some municipalities will cover some damage with a police report. Maybe check the towns website.

It's not a cheap rim (~$500), but the repair is $150. Probably not even worth the hassle?
