Why brutal? I've made the drive from Milford to NYC at rush hour a number of times and Westchester is the easiest part of that drive. Minimal traffic.

It would be under an hour from southern Duchess for the most part.

Yeah. Westchester traffic is NOTHING like CT traffic.

Makes sense. Most drivers in the AM have already exited around Stamford by then.

Driving down to MSG on a late afternoon last week, was smooth sailing down to Stamford. Then Stamford-Greenwich was a disaster, then in WC everything opened up, strange.

Even from southern Dutchess Co. in a town conveniently located to the Taconic (maybe Hopewell Junction/East Fishkill), Yonkers is still an easy 50 miles away. I would not call that an easy commute.
