Pretty easy to federally outlaw tax incentives from states to level the playing field among states and hit companies with massive tariffs when they try to outsource jobs overseas. I remember trump saying he wanted to do the latter. I'm not sure I see the comparison of someone selling a car to a multi-billion dollar corp leveraging different offers from states to pay less taxes than a small business ever would giving them a unfair market advantage. This type of stuff sounds like a corporate oligarchy. All this corporate welfare being offered to amazon is an absolute disgrace.

States have broad latitude to impose their own taxes and I would assume the same holds true for state tax incentives. I don’t think it would be at all easy to federally outlaw them.

If trickle down doesn't work, why are states and cities selling their soul to be the new Amazon home?

States should have to compete by offering good business climates, and collecting revenue from the multiplier effect of job creation.

feds should allow states to prove they have the best climate for business.

CT has been playing this game for a long time. Now that nobody is biting its candy, now it wants to outlaw everybody from offering candy.

Who says that Connecticut wants to outlaw this? And who also says that no one is biting? Didn't Henkel just move to Stamford? Isn't Charter and Bridgewater staying and expanding here? And there are a lot of others. Jay
