We are planning to move in Glastonbury, CT next month and I have a son who will go to sixth grade in 2017-18 academic year. We are thinking of Gideon Welles school for him and so looking for an apartment or condo for rent in Glastonbury CT. The only concern I have is to have Indians within the community or around since my son would need friends.
Kindly suggest some places within 1200-1400 $ pm range for 2 bedroom.
There are no strictly "Indian" communities in Glastonbury but there are a number of Indian families around town. Since all 6th graders in town go to Gideon Welles he is bound to meet some there. I would just look for an apartment that fits your needs. Good luck and welcome to town. Jay
As a nurse in Glastonbury, I drive a lot around town. There is a large Indian community in the apartments Colonial Apts on Salmon Brook Drive. I see many parents with the children waiting out there. The grade school K to 5 is consolidating soon but all go to Gideon for 5th and 6th, Smith for 7th and 8th and all to the High School. You can, however, pick the new East Hartford Glastonbury magnet school on Oak St for the younger kids.

Gideon Welles School is only for 6th grade students. All of the elementary schools have and will continue to have 5th grades in them even after the closing of Eastbury School and the redistricting of students. Jay
