Thanks everyone,

What about the red turn arrows - as seen here: https://goo.gl/maps/958pTWnXeNG2 ?

Does that also apply at all times? I get honked there ALL the time.

Those just mean you can only turn right there. There is no sign saying No Turn on Red so you can turn right on red there. Jay

It also means STOP and wait for a green arrow sometimes. I was waiting for a green arrow once and It never came. So I knew next time that you can turn right on red arrow . They should have signs saying Right on Red Arrow ok. Some spots have green arrows after a red one.

If they don't mean "no turn on red", then those red "right turn" arrows are unnecessary, aren't they? I agree they're confusing and I've seen people get honked at for stopping at those also.

These ones turn green though. They don't always stay red.

I think the red arrows are also there to reinforce that you can only turn right.

There's a couple "new" no turn on reds here in the Trumbull area. I know one location installed a camera, but the others don't, so I'll continue to turn right on red at those locations.

The worst thing by far are the left turn only signals. Unless you are on a busy road from 8 to 10:30 AM or 3:30 to 6:45 PM, the left turn only signals are useless.

That is correct. The newest national guidelines for signals requires the use of arrows at these locations now which is why you will see more of these in the future as signals are upgraded. Jay

Those cameras are only there to detect traffic approaching the intersection. They cannot be used for enforcement of laws. Connecticut law does not allow that. Jay

I have gone on "no turn on red" but usually don't. Certainly wouldn't honk at someone who didn't do the same.
