Trust me the ones that are bashing Governor Scott do not speak for me.... I would take Scott any day over Malloy. Your Governor is a hell of a lot more popular in your State, than Malloy is in CT.

I find it very funny how Malloy is lecturing Scott (and us) that FL is "going in the wrong direction" and that "Malloy can teach Scott how to serve his state better."

Nice re-direction. We're talking 'bout Malloy's reaction.

Besides, anybody said that Scott is an alter boy?

I was talking to a Boston tech company CTO a couple weeks ago. They have an R&D group in Fort Myers. They hire new grad kids and pay them 1099 $35/hour with no benefits. It's kind of like locating the group in Wuhan, China but hotter and more humid. The kids work for chump change as a resume builder and then leave for higher paying jobs. If you're doing meatball software development and use Agile so they're all on little well defined 2 week death marches, I guess that approach works. I used to work for a company with a group on Shanghai. They're up to $90/hour fully burdened cost. In the race to the bottom, Fort Myers, Florida is cheaper than Shanghai. Go figure.

Florida is a big state and sure you can find rents like these but not in or near the bigger cities. Cheap rents there, like here, are cheap for a reason and that is tied to the pay and what people can afford to pay for rent. Jay
