No hype, don't like the asian place at all.
Kawa Ni is next to try.

You can be humble and simple to please, and still enjoy an occasional night out with friends at a non-diner.

To each their own.

Rudy's burgers are fine. Their fries are what always got me.

Prime is pretty good, although I have yet to have a smooth experience there.

Caseus has a great burger.

So do we.
We just prefer to avoid mass production line frozen meat filled with chemicals and preservatives that are used at diners. It should be priced accordingly - lower.

You know Prime uses humane certified Angus beef, no preservatives/hormones/antibiotics right? Before you said "mass production line" to describe their meat, it is certainly not diner beef.

Here's the top ten burgers in FFC, courtesy of CTBites.

Top Ten Burgers In Southwest CT: 2017 Edition

In my mind the best burger going is from the Hapa Truck. And the price is right.

Our friends are also low-key, and wouldn't be above spending a night out at a diner.

I'm sure Rudy's, and the other burger places on that list, all provide pleasant fare in nice surroundings. My point is I see no reason to pay those prices for something as simple as a hamburger/cheeseburger. Same with sunglasses I saw in a Goodwill for $90! They might be a brand name, but does they really serve their intended purpose any more effectively than a $9 or $19 pair?

Just something to think about.

Louis Lunch is pretty cool. It's a really simple burger joint with no ketchup and mustard because they're trying to make it as unique and traditional as possible. Interestingly enough, it's home to the Worlds First Served Burger. It's a really tiny shack and can be tough to spot. It's near Downtown New Haven.

Sure you aren't mixing that up with McDonalds?

They'd have to dress down that burger for me! lol None of that designer stuff - just a medium rare flame broiled, with Swiss or American cheese, a little each of lettuce, tomato, and onion and some mayo on a regular bun. I am sooooo not hard to please! 😃
