National Weather Service New York NY

The polar upper level jet will be south of the region. In the
mid levels, a trough axis moves through the region bringing its
associated vorticity maxima with it. This upper level
disturbance will enhance lift and with the leftover moisture,
could result in a few snow showers with the continued cold air
advection. Snow showers are the precip type due to wet bulb
cooling. With limits in low level moisture and not much QPF from
numerical model guidance, left as slight chance
Streamers getting close.

Any snow we get will be thanks to Lake Ontario

I was surprised to see the NWS forecast a chance of snow showers around 4am for Middletown, CT. I don't see that element in any local wx forecasts- we'll see-although I'll be in bed.

2-6am Loop. I thought that was New London reporting snow but it's Westerly.

Doesn't look like any of the major Climo sites in CT got snow but I'm sure there were some spots that saw it.

Holy crap at that persistent Syracuse band stretching into Hudson Valley

Unless it happened between hourly readings and I see it on the daily climate reports at 5pm looks like in the tri-state area only Newark Airport got any snow....

Yup, Newark got a Trace of snow before us. and it was from Lake effect with temps in the upper 30s. lol

Oh snap... just looked at my map... add NYC to the list now LGA. "Trace". Nothing accumulating.

One heck of a way to come back from the Bahamas, with a bunch of flurries and cold weather. Lovely.
