Nothing specific other than a favorable pattern coming up in about two weeks. The Euro and GFS show a decent pattern 2nd week of Dec (the 8th ish). Since early Nov, the trend seems to be temps avg at best, or below. We'll see!

We will see i guess..it will be cold but not really cold enough to snow if we get a storm at all... I doubt it will snow (accumulating) before the 20th. After that I think it gets active.

I think after the 8th we'll get more chances. There's some interesting cold being shown too.

A different feel and look so far. Just need to start seeing those storms on the map. Not even for Ohio Valley and New England I'm seeing them for yet.

Enjoy the 50s tomorrow. Warm day. maybe 60 NYC?

Area Forecast Discussion
National Weather Service New York NY
350 PM EST Tue Nov 28 2017.

Downsloping west winds will cause temps to rise near 60 degrees
across the NYC Metro area
, about 10 degrees above normal. Cooler and
more seasonal temps are on tap Wednesday night as the next high
pressure system moves toward the region in a fast flowing
progressive upper air pattern.

.LONG TERM /THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY/...
Quasi-zonal flow prevails through this time frame, with a couple of
shortwaves that are expected to traverse across the northeast.

Next shortwave passes Sunday. GFS appears to be a strong outlier at
this time with this passing shortwave when compared to ECMWF and
Canadian NH.

Ridge builds behind each shortwave.

Yep..none of the long term offices show anything more than partly cloudy from the 8th to 12th but as we well know that can change... cold will be in place at least to get snow inland..

Screen shot those 8+ day forecasts.. I'm willing to bet they'll be waay lower than they are right now for end of next week. Front comes through mid next week and Arctic blast behind it. So Next Wed-Thurs-Friday should be much colder than normal.

Took the boat to its winter home this afternoon, tried to go out and drop the anchor to have a drink, the crazy winds had the boat dragging the anchor, gave up on the drink and put it at the dock, will be pulled out tomorrow morning and then it's stuck on land with the rest of you all winter!

Those winds were annoying today. I usually like winds but maybe it's cause I tried to do leaf clean up. lol

Min-Max temps today. Looks like a 25-35 degree range from Virginias to Southern New England.

35 to 62 at Danbury.
37 to 62 at BDL
46 to 64 at BDR
