It is not just the 95 degree temperature that is the problem. It is the fact that those temperatures start in the spring and go well into the fall without any real break. That would be what I could not stand. Jay

Weather wise, we've actually had fairly decent weather. If November and December stayed like how it is now it would be A-ok. I can't lie, I am looking forward to some snow on the ground. It doesn't look likely for another few weeks, at any rate.
Danbury weather forecast from Weather Channel. Won't play out like this of course as its too far out but it DOES show an active cold weather week. This will probably be our first snow accumulation somewhere in here.

Not commenting much on the potential snow next weekend. Just too far out to constantly mention, so many things have to happen. But yeah, the opportunity is there.

One thing at a time. The cold is coming. That's locked. For us the front comes in Tuesday night

In Miami about to board a flight back to CT. My little FEMA volunteer odyssey has come to a close. I bid St Thomas aloha. Ready for winter... No choice, right?

You are made for winter weather.

I, on the other hand, thank God every day for making someone invent the technology that allows me to start my car from inside my house while I'm still in my pijamas. All I have to do is press a couple of buttons on my key chain and problem solved.

I walk into my car and the cabin is nice and toasty waiting for me. Plus, the seat warmer is always on, which makes me fall into nirvana as soon as I accomodate myself on the driver seat.

Aaaah... Don't doubt for a moment that I'm glad I'm living in these times and not before, when life was definitely harder.

Lasted GFS so close to a big snowstorm.

After the Wednesday front, the jet stream digs down to the south east. Typically storms form and blow up on the right side of it.

Take a look at Friday afternoon. You have the clipper coming down, the front off shore and a storm off the coast. It rain-snow mix for us

Then look Saturday evening. Storm blows up over New England, too late for us but brings some snow for us on Saturday.
