It's INSANE.... Stop and shop in Milford was an absolute mad house... everyone is acting like they'll be stuck at home for a week.

Me too! I happened to be near ShopRite in Bristol, just needed milk and laundry soap and--NO carriages, just wall to wall people. So I got those two items and quickly got outa there. Two cars were fighting furiously for my parking place--hope they didn't get into an accident.

Currently the storm is a 994mb looks way off the coast down there but its throwing back precip onto land. Temps in the teens over CT.

Not seeing any stations in Virginia reporting snow yet. Should start after midnight here.

6-8 over in Litchfield County. Wonderful! Those are pretty high wind speeds, I didn't even think of those.

Back to a warning. This may be a minor event but it is soo..close to a major one in Fairfield. To brush this off is premature. And to kidyankee , a 6-8 inch event with 40 MPH winds IS a major event. No, its not a state closing event but to say its nothing is silly.

I haven’t gone back to look, but I’m pretty certain I said it would be a “mild to moderate” event in Fairfield County. 6-8” is what I’d call moderate. If it shifts west, I’ll eat my words. As the forecast is now, I stand by them.
