I see the dew point in Tampa at the moment is 81! (To be fair, it's also raining). Does anyone know if CT has ever topped 80 before?

Very concerning what's going on out there. Way too easy to add and change things.

Unlike some of your claims in the past I am actually suspicious of this one as well (Islip). One thing for example that I find really odd is they now show a record low of 44 for July 2 in 1965, but no other dates in July have record lows below 50, I would be less skeptical if that reading was say 49 or something. They at least acknowledge that with the new data their all-time high is 104 in 1966.

Also, I think the extremely below zero readings from the 1960s to 1988 (i.e. -5 and below, culminating in a -14 in what I believe is 1966 on the chart in the article) then a claim of no subzeros after that (though the chart does acknowledge two readings of zero itself in the 2010s) is really suspicious too.

I found the following. This article claims lots of dewpoints over 80 just last August throughout the Northeast but notes that in this region it is really rare. It notes some numbers, but doesn't pinpoint Connecticut (it also notes that it finds the 84 degree dewpoint at JFK airport to be suspect

This article claims there was an 84 degree dewpoint recorded at a cooperative station in New Milford on 7/20/2013. It also claims an unbelievable -51 dewpoint in Feb. of that same year so I don't know:

Finally, this article claims the highest dewpoint ever recorded in the US in not in a place you would expect....90 degrees in Appleton, WI on July 13, 1995....combined with a temperature of 101, there was a heat index of 148! (according to this article world record for dew point and heat index is 95 and 176 respectively in Dharan, Saudi Arabia on July 8, 2003)
