I thought the ground would be more frozen. I guess the snowpack kept it from hardening too much? Everything is soggy, floody, and muddy!

Just measured the rain in my gauge.... Over 2" of rain here in 10 hours!

Most since October 31, 2017 and before that was October 29, 2015.

Not often we get over 2" in 24hrs especially in winter.

Imagine if it was all snow. This winter has been stormy and wet for sure.

Tuesday-Wednesday looks minor snow event right now. Euro has the most snow for us 3-5"

Cold front over us now so temps will drop during the day.

2:15-6:15am radar loop.. Look at all that snow behind the front! So much moisture still coming up. But we'll miss out though. You can see how its moving and how dry it is south of us.

Thanks. Not even showing up on radar. Must be so light and too far below the radar beam and isolated.

Check out these 24hr Rain reports! Many areas in CT where 2-3" of rain fell. Looks like was embedded in every county

Map of reports.

Rain Totals January 12, 2018.

I think NWS Albany forgets about Litchfield county. They never seem to have their reports lately.
