No, its gone. Lol. Wasnt compaction after 6-12hrs.. it Melted, evaporated, turned to liquid, absorbed into soil. Grass showing in some spots now.

very odd.. it was wet. The blizzard a few weeks ago was only like 12-15 :1..

And December 13th I used a broom to clean 2" of snow with similar ratios. I myself didnt think high ratios would mean wet snow..

Latest GFS says storm rides close to the coast.. 60 mile shift East and its a big snowstorm Sunday night (6"+)

Canadian model is east of this.

New Euro model is east of GFS but right on the border of rain/snow. 20 miles east more and its all snow.

I saw an ad for "Source4Teachers" (they are a service that contracts out substitute teaching, locally they are only in Bridgeport though they are heavily in NJ and PA) talking about how the day after the SuperBowl is a big sub day as a lot of teachers take off. I wonder if in a "borderline" snow situation that would put districts over the edge to close in a situation where they might have otherwise delayed.

January 2018 Summary:


Beginning of the month continued with the extreme cold and snow breaking records for consecutive days staying below freezing.
Pattern changed on the 8th we started thawing out above normal.
We had another week of below normal temps around mid month.
Then back to above normal temps with rainy days and active storm pattern
