I don't get it. Was it fake snow that fell? Is the sun not producing heat anymore? I don't get how the snow on my deck can last 11 days without melting..IN MARCH!

And it's in the 40s today.

And I only got 6" from the 7th and 4" from the 13th. Not like there was 2 feet of snow.

I don't remember that at all, maybe it was more of a southern storm? It definitely warmed up by the 16th. I have a pic from a ride in South Windsor on the 20th with no snow in sight.

Just when I didn't think it could get colder I forgot it was crystal clear yesterday and so was last night.

Radiational cooling dropped me to 23°. Coldest since February 13th.

7:20am temps

I bet the -21 at Saranac Lake, NY and Mt. Washington, NH tie for the coldest temperatures for today in the lower 48 (in the somewhat rare times the Northeast gets this honor, it is usually those 2 places or somewhere in northern Maine).

Whoa... the -21° on the map is Mt Washington at the bottom, 1000'.
At 6200' it was -13°. Colder down low. Inversion.

Didn't expect that because I thought it was calm enough for radiational cooling at its best. Gees.

Current Wind Chills. Going outside to get more firewood again.
