Remember I complained that my town treated the roads last Thursday? Apparently they did it too soon as much of it wore off on the more heavily traveled roads. They re-did some this morning.
I haven't checked the treatments as of late but I do recall. I'll be sure to see if the highways are striped on my way home. Guess my new tires will get a chance to prove themselves around the 1pm time slot tomorrow.

Also, I don't understand why they cut short the Feb break. Much more likely to get snow in Feb, and maybe get some snow days that occur during the vacation. The same can't be said for April vacation, but this year may be the exception.
We started before Labor Day, but we're the only district in the area who has a full week of Feb break. Region 4 builds in "snowflake" days into their Feb break, so if they've taken snow days prior to Feb break, they're already making them up during that break. Clinton only has President's Day and that Tuesday off. My district also had the day off after Labor Day for professional development after starting school on August 30th. We had 4 "snow" days before February break-- Oct 30th, Jan 4th & 5th, and January 30th. Cutting in Feb break would have saved us from going into the last week of June. And the last three days of school in June are ED days. Ugh.

Back to your regularly scheduled nor'easter talk.

Just thinking out loud. If we got 4" of snow here last storm and roads were fine, wouldn't that mean 6-8" of snow tomorrow roads will be fine as well?? Don't know. Roads during snow in March is a wait and see I guess.

10am-2pm Loop. All that "blue snow" over NYC area is just Virga (moisture falling but not reaching the ground). Still too dry.

If you believe NWS, it's more like 12-16" though. But the rarity of that amount of snow this late in the year combined with temperatures right at the freezing mark with it being daytime in March is making me think this will be a typical March storm where it doesn't stick to roads well.

Maybe that NAM6z run wasn't wrong after all. Must of picked up on something. Maybe the focus is more on PA/NJ now so there's less precip available north of NYC.

Is it spring yet?!

Latest Euro 10:1. Still big for NYC south but man this could be a bust for CT now.
