Just saw the forecast and it looks like if the cold front that is slowing down doesn't get here in time we could get more of Maria than we want. I may start to do a little prepping this week bring a few things inside, and maybe dust off the generator.

Nah, OTS after teasing or hitting NC banks. But true, if the Jet Stream digging down slows down it will give Maria more room to move north closer to us.

2:15-6:15am loop

Looks like according to NHC Jose quickly and suddenly (more than expected) dissapated. Still looked pretty solid in your loop yesterday but they don't even mention it. Even weirder, looks like Lee reformed but it's very much a "fish storm" and ironically way out in the ocean doing a similar "Jose stall".

Yeah, guess it got tired finally. Very little convection after yesterday morning. No precip but the cloud swirl and center of storm is still there.

Keep in mind, because Jose weakened faster than expected, it made Maria go closer to North Carolina. True. Amazing how things play out with weather events.

How about a loop with both in the picture now... Jose STILL there (but obviously dissipating) Maria looking strong Cat 3 and will troll NC.

crummy day...where is Jose when you need him. Hot in late September sucks as much as cold in late March...

3:15pmEST temps.. Only 81° here but I think my station is having a moment. 87° at BDR.

Eastern MA must be cursing or thanking Jose still.

I spy the cold front in Minnesota. Damn Michigan, record amount of September 90s?
