I am still baffled how there is snow on the ground still the next day. The sun must not be angled anymore. It's April for crying out loud!

Speaking of sun... Solar Activity is so low. Creates more clouds on earth hence why snows would last longer on the ground this late. Timing is everything. Plus you got a Polar Vortex more south than usual pushing cold air down into the U.S.

Cloudy most all of the time.. temps in 30's ..not sure how much melt one could expect.

So when will it break? After mid April. That means you have another 10 days at least. Enjoy tomorrows warmth.

When the airmass at 5000' stays below freezing in April, the surface doesn't get to normal.

And..... Euro says precip almost everyday except for 3 days. Snowstorm April 12th??????????????

I saw snow for April 7th and the month going have horrible weather rain almost daily. May looking like better month with temperature around 65-75 degrees everyday with sunny weather 80% of the month.

FYI.......... Bridgeport had 1" of snow at 12z this morning. That makes 2 in a row. 1st time in April since 1982.

So basically nobody younger than 36 yrs old in this area has seen snow on the ground for 2 days in a row in April. I knew this was weird!

3:30pm still snow on ground AND ITS BEEN RAINING FOR 3 HOURS.

REdiculous

Jet stream digs down. Cold air comes down. Storm forms over Virginia again. Snows from DC to NYC to Boston Friday night/Saturday.. DC riding that line gonna be tough forecast but I hope to one day stop seeing snow on the maps.

Rediculous

I guess we'll be mowing less this year?

I knew it was strange...

So........Nobody younger than 36 years old in Bridgeport,CT coast area experienced 2 days in a row with 1" or more snow on the ground in April...until now

In 1996 BDR had 2 days but they were separate. Have to go back to 1982 for the last time.

I know what you're going to say, but 2 days out NWS BOX has absolutely nothing for that time frame, and too warm during the day Friday.
