I’m wondering if hurricane Michael splashed out some of the warm surface of the Gulf of Mexico waters and shuffled it with cooler water deeper below rushing up to the top. This would shut off the humidity machine and could be an October phenomenon as Hurricane Wilma in 2005 also killed the humidity season.

This would only work in the late hurricane season because after the upwelling, surface water reheats quickly but in October, it’s differebt in that the heat of the water surface won’t reclimb as fast.

Clear Blue Sunny Skies out there for most of us..

November-Like Day in the 40s...with Green leaves around. Stunning Late Fall day though.

PWS in Northern Fairfield (town) are already hitting 32.. @10:20 PM!!

The rest of the town will fall soon... save maybe the coastal plain. It depends how quickly the wind shifts from NW to SW...

Goodbye growing season 2018! All plants are protected!!

I'm excited for winter!! First snow predictions??

I'm thinking 1.5" on Nov. 23... let's see how close I am (haha!)

Coldest of the season again here. 32.9° and still lowering. Here's a look at the 6am temps out there.

Surprised Danbury is warmer than me! Waterbury and Meriden in the 20s.

1st real frost as it's everywhere now, not just lightly on roofs.. Dropped to 32.6°F.

Soil down in the 40s for 1st time this season.

Definitely needed to start it this morning.
