Ridiculous for this time of year.. 67 here and the suns not even out yet....

Still noting H85 temps rising up to +16C to +17C by around midday or into the afternoon.

OctToaster!! Had some drizzle over night. Just a Trace in my rain gauge. 65° at 7:45am. LOL

Panorama pic of current temps. We are 10-15 above normal in CT. At or near Record.

Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio are 20-25 above normal just ahead of the front.

Where is the front you ask?

There... feels like a world away

What prompted it was being outside walking around at 2pm and looking at the solid red highways to Norwalk...which would make it almost impossible to get there, go out and have a good time before sunset.

Big freeze at the end of the month is fine. Just have to winterize the head and freshwater system if that happens, the motor doesn't really have to be winterized because the water will keep anything under the waterline nice and warm.

Today the water temp was 68.5 for most of the day according to the thing on my boat that tells the water temp ... went for a swim, was nice and refreshing!!

Interesting. Thanks.

Cool poll started in case you're having a boring Sunday and wanna vote on something. I added a picture with some stats to help with the decision.

I guess the positive in all this is that well above normal doesn't mean 80s or 90s anymore.

Heat starts Thursday, lasts through the weekend.

GFS for temps next Saturday afternoon. Dews should be in the 50s.

2pm. In shorts.. Annoying low clouds finally breaking up... 71°F. Feels so normal! lol (normal is about 60° for this hour)

Only 2 days the max temps has been below normal since September 11th. (5 weeks)
Hartford only 2 days as well.

For NYC 5 days has been below normal since September 12th

2pm temps. Last time I had a max temp of 50s was June 6th. Over 4 months ago. I forgot what that feels like.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The planet is warming. While obviously there's been extreme hyperbole on the left about the severity of it, there is definitely a warming pattern. We are clearly having more warmer than normal temps/pattern than colder than normal. Every decade the 30 year climate normals get a little warmer. We've seen change in where fish are seen in the ocean. It's obvious.

All that being said, I'm enjoying this warmer than normal stuff especially at this time of the year. Shout out to torchtober!

Poor folks out West can't get above normal and warm. Been below normal past 30 days from Arizona to Montana. Early snows and cold as well.

Can't wait for that Jet stream to flip around.
