I just tried to find the old weather thread to see how early he was predicting Sandy, couldn't find it, gave up. But honestly, I seem to recall Cambium predicting how bad Sandy was going to be about ten days beforehand, saying that there were ridiculously low barometric pressures being predicted. Cambium has long been referred to as "The Oracle" in my house. As in - Kid: "Have you consulted The Oracle yet about such and such anticipated weather event?" In Cambium we trust.

Sorry for lack of posts. Just too tired now to save and post maps. Shoveled cement for 1.5hrs. It's a total nightmare out there on roads in entire region.. Worst ever. Timing and everyone on road at same time was the worst! Still is out there.

They closed the Merritt because plows weren't able to plow with traffic and stuck cars. So they plowed sections at a time. Closing Merritt while its snowing hard = lose lose. Standstill. Backroads same. Took me 1 hour to go from Greenwich Avenue to Merritt ramp in North Greenwich. Post road was gridlock. Worst ever.

6" here melted to 0.70" liquid. That's 8:1 ratios. Only 0.25" was supposed to be snow. So triple the liquid ended up as snow.

Will catch up tomorrow. What month is this?! Winds picking up too like its a Blizzard.

6-7.5" depending on where I measured. I left my ruler out there, hope I find it tomorrow. Got the sidewalk done and a couple of passes down the driveway plus a path around the cars so we don't track snow in. Got out there just as it changed to sleet. I'm still soaked. Hope some of this washes away overnight.

The amount of traffic EVERYWHERE this afternoon was crazy. I turned around twice after work when I was going to try and get some food for dinner. Decided "**********" and pulled some things out of the freezer to cook instead.. traffic on roads I've never seen cars on before!
