Sorry guys, hate to ruin the winter parade. Snow coming Monday-Tuesday but Spring comes back on Friday-Saturday with 50s,60s,70s.

Since December I have given up.

Just wasn't seeing the right patterns for us and the wasted storms. Pacific Pattern will Trump Atlantic Pattern. Always. Pacific influence brings in warm moisture and air, and the no blocking left us without sustained cold, any cold we got was dry and then it snowed south of us. Just didn't feel right to me. It's nice when a call of mine is right but its sad when it was this....

I think if we can have a couple of inches of sticking snow in the morning and a forecast where it turns to sleet/ice before rain we will still get it. The timing will help a lot as well as the fact that most districts on the coast have not had a snow day yet so there's less pressure to try and avoid one (where I work hasn't had one, and just one delay to boot, though there were a few heat-related early dismissals in early Sept.). The one thing we don't want is a forecast where it turns to all rain in the morning, then you get a delay at best. I'm crossing my fingers, I want at least one snow day this year but barring a big turn in the forecast in the next day or so I'm feeling confident about this one.

But I can see with the patterns we have where this could be it.....though the last couple of years have been a pattern of record warm February followed by a snowy and below normal March (and even an April snowstorm last year).

Haven't needed to do this much this year.

Snowfall total forecast pieced together from NWS offices in region.

Nice snowstorm for New England again with 8-12"+ coming next 2-3 days.
