Hi,

I am a newbie to this forum and would love some ideas. I lived in Norwalk for 20 years and then moved to Maine 9 years ago and bought a farm in rural western Maine. Now it is time to return to CT and I have a possible job lined up in Ridgefield. I am looking for a small ranch or condo that takes pets. (2 Greyhounds, 1 Golden Retriever). My budget is under $200K. I was thinking of Heritage Village until I read that thread and how expensive it is.

Any ideas are great appreciated.

You should be able to get a condo in either Danbury or New Milford. Your agent would have to get over the HOA regulations for each community to see if they would allow as many dogs. Good luck!

I think I am going to stick with a single family house. From what I can see on Realtor.com there are some small houses, 2 bedroom, 1 bath, that are affordable.

Many of my clients are surpirsed that what they see online doesn't always match and live up to their expectations when they go see in person. Good luck!

I have experienced that in the past when purchasing other homes. Sometimes a little elbow grease and hard work can make a place look a lot better.
