All I want is land but looking there are cheaper in CT which fall into the category we are looking for.
Interestingly, the more affluent younger people I know are staying in CT (I'm defining "affluent" as income over $200k annually) - however I do think family ties to the northeast are a factor.

True.

Ct no longer is sustainable for the working class.

Most of my friends are content. There’s a few Trumpers that will never be content until they’re in deep red territory (and ironically are doing really well here). Then there’s a couple that think that moving south will make them happy, but probably have deeper life issues (and again, are doing well here).

They all know our gov have failed us and the state has seen better days, but few are as doom and gloom as this forum.
and let me guess, affluent also.

Or do you know working class Ct residents?

A mix. From tow truck drivers and plumbers, to executives and doctors.

I figure this is a TIC statement, but in case it is not, $200K makes for a nice lifestyle for those who don't live in SW FFC
