Litchfield - Because I'm a farm girl myself, so I always prefer rolling hills, pastures, and greenery to the ocean any day!!

Guilford has lots of all those, including farms.

That’s why I like those towns so much. They literally combine all of what makes New England special.

It was Round 4. Really you think it was an upset? I predicted Stonington to go through. Farmington is really an overrated town on these forums, and while it is a nice town, don't get me wrong. Their are at least 10 clearly better towns.

These are tough. All are great towns with a lot to offer. Litchfield has unbelievable charm. It is what most people think of when you say New England. Stunning historic colonial architecture around a beautiful classic town green. However, as a community to live in, Litchfield is a bit removed from things like entertainment and shopping. I would then have to give my vote to Guilford which also has the classic town green as well as decent shopping and entertainment and highly regarded schools. It also has beaches and access to all that New Haven has to offer as well as train service to New Haven and New York.

Old Saybrook is a wonderful small town and has a great beachy atmosphere. Lots of shopping and restaurant options. Madison however, is more upscale and has the wonderful Surf Club waterfront park. It really is stunning. Schools in Madison are among the best in the state and like Guilford has trains and is accessible to New Haven and New York. This is an almost impossible choice but here are my choices:

Guilford vs Litchfield

Old Saybrook vs Madison
