I'm a massage therapist and do photography professionally part time.
I did some studying and seems Fairfield is a nice middle class area.
Looking for as little snow as possible
Thanks

Fairfield county for the most part is an upper middle class area- with many communities very wealthy-among the richest in the nation.

Snowfall in CT varies -with the shoreline receiving the least- while the northwest hills receiving the most.

Goldwing - Fairfield is a beautiful town with a lot to offer. I am sur eyou will like it there. Beware though it is expensive and good rentals at reasonable prices are hard to find. Good luck, Jay

Goldwing. The best way for you to succeed in your business is to try look at communities that have the right demographic that utilize your kind of service and then determine if they have enough "massageries" per capita. :-) Surely a few Connecticut communities are unserved or underserved and could use your talents.

If you move to a community simply because you like it then you may enjoy living there but may not find a suitable market for your business. In that case you may have to travel to an adjacent town or city or further in order to develop your business. Just something to think about...

West Hartford is a town that also has a demand for massage therapy- and the towns nearby, Avon, Simsbury & Farmington. As for Photography, the same is true.

Also remember some medical offices- mainly sports medicine may need licensed massage therapists. Fairfield county is fine- but also consider the Hartford and New Haven areas- they are less expensive, and the demand is still there.

Goldwing. Can you give us some idea as to what your idea of affordable rental costs are? That can be a very subjective subject to discuss. Here in Kansas City you can find a pretty decent Studio or 1 BR for around $500 a month in most of the city and suburbs. Where do you live presently? What is your budget for monthly rent? What can you afford to pay if you move to Connecticut?

If I can get a shared house method say $700.
I'll be selling here in SLC UT and will have plenty to last a long time just renting and investing.
One of the reasons for renting is to do some long term traveling too
Thanks
