Hartford Yardgoats General Manager Mike Abramson has confirmed that their 2020 season has been canceled. Too bad. The team was very popular. Jay

Didn't really have a choice in the matter as all MLB affiliated baseball was cancelled. This affected teams in all the leagues of Single A, Double AA, and Triple AAA.

Anybody here notice that the New Britain Bees actually played last night? They beat the Worcester Bravehearts 6-0. They had about 1,500 fans, which is more or less "capacity" with the social distancing setup. The other game in that collegiate league was in Nashua, NH last night. They also reported a similar crowd. Other teams are North Shore (Lynn, MA), Westfield and Brockton, MA. The Pittsfield Suns are not playing this season.

Meanwhile, I wonder if the Norwich Sea Unicorns (A-level Tigers) will be around for 2021?

Just found out the son of a former coworker is on the team. I knew he played on his college team but didn’t know he was on the Bee’s until someone said he mentioned it on social media. He’s a good player having seen him play in Little League. Strange to see his photo and stats on the teams website. Jay

I went to the Bees game on Thursday. The quality of play is garbage compared to when they were a pro team last season, but it was still a fun time.
