Hi, I'm doing a lot of research in Northeastern States, and I find out that one of the good places to live in Maine is Portland, in MASS Beverly.
We try to relocate from TN, and Connecticut seems very interesting for my family. I would like to know where is the best place to live around New Haven? Good neighborhood to rent apt. Transportation, Big shopping Malls, outdoor sports like soccer.
Has anybody lived in these other places, Beverly MASS, Portland Maine, and New Haven Connecticut.
I want to compare it. Which one is the best to live?
I would appreciate any information.
Thank you

If from TN- CT is the southernmost New England state, that perhaps offers the most variety. Southwestern CT is more closely aligned to the New York area, but still maintains its New England heritage. New Haven has Yale, and much in bio tech and health care, as well as the arts. With some fine towns nearby as Jay mentioned-Milford to the west, while Branford and Guilford to the east along the CT shoreline.

Greater Hartford perhaps is the quintessential New England city after Boston & Providence. Offering an improving Capital City, with a vast array of cultural assets too numerous to describe- (rated 26th best metro area in the USA and Canada for visual and performing arts) Some very attractive suburbs and bedroom communities- and close to the ocean, mountains, Boston and NYC- with housing prices that are surprisingly affordable.
