Personally I wouldn’t go north of Stamford for a daily commute to NYC, but if you don’t mind the distance (or don’t go in every day) it’s a good option. I’d place it before white plains.

Understood. I'm still including Norwalk in the mix - because I don't mind the distance. If I can get a seat at South Norwalk and commute into Grand Central in about an hour, I'm good with that. I was looking at the possibility of Black Rock in Bridgeport because the Fairfield Metro station is there, and some express trains do stop there.
