Goshen is very classic and old-timey. Always had fun there.

My go to Apple/Pumpkin Picking spots

Silverman Farms is ok. Small, expensive & always crowded but has great produce and close.

Lyman Orchards is my favorite. (Call hotline for daily updates on crops)

We love Jones Family Farms in Shelton for pumpkins. It is gorgeous with rolling hills in background. Lots of activities and room to run. Can get crowded though.

I also like Harris Hill in New Milford for pumpkins. Beautiful part of town and not too crowded.

Went to Woodstock Fair on Saturday. With her new this year disabilities, we weren't sure how long my Love would last. We went slow and she managed to get around ok with her cane. I carried her stuff. We got there before they opened the gate and were done by noon.... The maple kettle corn is fantastic. We had lobster rolls at 10am.... If you like antique tractors and farm engines, great display and most of the engines were running.... Worth the drive. Go early. When we left at noon, the gate we used must have had 300 people in line to buy their tickets to get in.

Silverman's can be a zoo, but they have a lot there (animals!) and the apple fritters are terrific. Get there early or don't bother.

Blue Jay in Bethel is a little bit lower key, but they still get crowds and the produce isn't as good as Silverman's.

I went to Rogers Orchards in Meriden yesterday. 3 types of Apples were ready but others were almost there. Nice place. Bigger than I thought. Lots of healthy Apple Trees. They don't do the Peach picking there but they do at their other location in CT.

The market there is nice. Will post pics in the Photo thread now.
Edit: Done. Rogers Orchards

Isn't rogers orchards in Southington? Good spot, deceivingly large. Area surrounding it is quite nice as well.

Yeah, they have 2 spots. Southington they have the pick your own peaches. Meriden they have the peaches in the market but no peach trees on the farm. I forgot the weight but it was $9 for 16 apples
