So I've been thinking about this for a couple days. I work next to Grand Central Station and have a lot of co-workers who live in Westchester and Fairfield Counties. I will post this in the New York (Westchester) forum as well - but I wanted to get a sense of which Metro-North line you guys think is the best and which is the worst: Hudson, Harlem, or New Haven?

As always, lemme know your thoughts. Thanks.

I’m guessing the vast majority of people on the CT forum (myself included) only have experience riding on the New Haven line. You’ll likely get more objective results asking this in the NYC forum.

You know what? That's a good idea! I'll post over there too. Never thought of that.

I ride the New Haven Line everyday - and there is pretty substantial evidence that the Harlem line is the best line. New haven has the worst on time track record and the most overcrowding. Still better than driving but Harlem is far superior

New Haven is objectively the busiest. It has the highest ridership of any commuter train in the country.

I have coworkers on the other lines and they seem fine. They get delayed too. I used to regularly ride the Harlem line but that was 10+ years ago and train service and speed has worsened across the board since then.
