I usually have tons of them running around my yard/neighborhood. Haven't seen a single one this year. Tons of other people have told me the same thing around the state. Seems there was a big die off or something.
Since our outdoor cat passed several years ago, we have had 1 chipmunk living under the garage. I've seen him 6 or 8 times so far this year. Along with 1 rabbit and several squirrels.
Plenty of chipmunks, squirrels, skunks and in the winter mice running around here. Last year was a rodent jackpot. Hopefully this coming season will not follow the past.

Anyone else notice this as well?
I think most of the chip monks moved to other states to save on taxes and/or COL.
Texas offered them a "find one get one" incentive on acorns.
Florida offered no corporate income tax for six years, provided they produce another 500 chip monks during that time.
North Carolina offered a rebate on all chip monks deaths due to cats and/or cars.
I don't see how CT can compete with those offers. Democrats will never learn.
Maybe they went South. We have at least one in our garden. I love chipmunks. My elderly cat used to love them too!
