Hey guys, I know I (very) recently started a thread on New Haven suburb stereotypes, but I was curious about Fairfield County as well, as I am not as familiar with the specific towns. Thanks in advance!

I grew up in the more northern part of Stamford and now I live in Trumbull so I am Fairfield County through and through. And I have hundreds of relative in FFC.

This is pretty funny and most are kind of accurate. Of course the middle class (like me) and most people in FFC don't live in mansions.

When I went to Westhill HS in the 1970's the kids drove nicer cars than the teachers. Now Westhill has changed but I bet in most towns in FFC I bet that is accurate.

Not a fan of FFld and local areas. Lots of drug abuse in middle to high schools. Nosy, crass, whining neighbors and the reasons I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, Maybe an enemy.

There is “lots of drug abuse” in every corner of this country. Fairfield County is not alone.

I thought people in Connecticut are supposed to be cold, keeping to themselves and snobby. How can they be nosy, crass and whining too? 1 don’t know where you live but that is not what I see in Fairfield County. Jay

100% true. I’d venture to say this is true everywhere in the world.

Nah. Most of the world is far too poor to have a drug abuse problem.

I’m not an expert on the subject but I can tell you from a few trips to Afghanistan that the extremely poor there still have addiction problems.

With about 1,000 sq miles of illegal poppy cultivation and resulting convenient heroin-sourcing, now there's a &$@%* shocking revelation. In one extremely cluster-pharked environment, easily the world's largest harvest per capita.
