We are officially inside a July heat wave in progress across the area with already 2-3 days of 90s this week.
Today again... I think they raised it more within past 12hrs due to sunny skies. Real feel of near or over 100°
Tomorrow will be another hot one.
Max temps Saturday.
And then......Sunday. Front will be south of us and we'll have a Canadian type airmass. Monday and Tuesday should be the same give or take.
As far as rain... We'll get some chances Saturday night and Monday morning

I know this is from "across the Sound" but I recently noticed that Islip now shows records back to 1963, not 1986 anymore, giving them a longer record. I wondered how they suddenly "discovered" old data (and since the beginning of the article seems to chart how much "colder" it was in the 60s and 70s with this new data Cambium is going to have a lot of skepticism

I am loving this heat. Though today wasn't as bad as yesterday. Yesterday morning felt colder than the day prior. Today was nice good breeze in the 80s. Still could feel the humidity surprised no storm yet. Love days like this 24/7.
