I know they have a relatively short record and they have cooler average high temps than a lot of our region having their weather station right on the water like JFK airport but it getting to May 1 without a single 70 degree temp unprecedented? If not how rare is it?

Bridgeport has had Aprils without hitting 70, so not unprecedented there but not common.

Not hitting 67° in April gets more interesting... Their max is only 66 this year!

They have not been above 62 all month? Assuming it doesn't get above 62 there through April 30 (I just looked and Saturday looks like the only day until May 1 they even pass 55!), would this be their coldest "highest April temp"?
Yes... Boston's stat is impressive!

Boston has always reached at least 66° in April... They haven't passed 62° this year...6 days left and look at their 7 day forecast. Could be a historic cold April max for them

Spoiler

Thanks much! I suspected BDR had other Aprils like this because I know weather stations dead on the water often have lower high temps in Spring. But while not "rare", it looks like it last happened 22 years ago which would still be the longest such stretch (breaking 1981-1994)....for no 70+ that is, you're right the no 67+ is a lot more interesting!

And yeah, wow with Boston!

My favorite is when it's cloudy and rains most of the day only to start clearing up when we have only an hour left of sunlight.

I swear this has happened 5 times in the last week and a half.

And usually it doesn't take long to see leaves. We don't have a long bloom season. I think the south does more. Ours is like 2 weeks. lol

Even though it hit 60s today (normal) the low was in the mid 30s. Well below normal.

So today makes 11 days in a row below normal. April.

Fun fact: it hit 70 at Bradley on January 12th.

That's the high for the year so far.
