30s down in Virginia too. Richmond suburbs in the 30s.

Well below normal from Maine to Florida back to Mississippi Valley.

I know BDL was 35 at one point, don't know if they got lower. Looks like BDR set a record low though:

Bottomed out at 33.1°F at 6 AM. Got much closer to a freeze than I was expecting.

Danbury dropped to 20s.

"Air" temp column = current temp for OBS time.
IEM :: CT_ASOS Current Conditions

Here's BDL's monthly temps Lots of 30s!

A record number of drops to under 35° for April 15-May 13.

In fact, they need 1 more to tie 1956 with most drops under 35° after April 15th. Meaning including rest of May and June.

On May 25, 1956 they dropped to 33.

I wonder if it's the latest in the year Danbury was in the 20s. I somehow doubt it's their latest subfreezing temp though I bet they have a couple later in May.

Records only go back to 1998 but April 21st is the mean date for last 20s. Only 3 times in May. Latest was May 13, 2005. So they tied it.

Sitting in the shade at 1pm with a sweatshirt I found myself saying... "its chilly". Normal is upper 60s at 1pm and it's only low 50s. Crazy
