For Summer (June 1 - August 31) The Record number of days where the low stayed 70° or warmer for Bridgeport, CT was 39. If todays low of 71° holds it makes it 36 days with 8 days left. (4 missing from Isaias but did not have a 70°+ low)

In the 1980s they were averaging only 16 in summer. Now we're getting a whole months worth of warm nights. Hopefully in the 2030s we'll go back to 1980s style lows when the Atlantic cools down into negative AMO phase..

See the similarities?

Or maybe it's.....

In search of September good news I just realized last year Bridgeport didn't pass 84°! It was the first time since 2009 they didn't have a warmer max in September. PLEASE DO THAT AGAIN!

And entire Fall last year ended up the coolest Fall since 2013. PLEASE DO THAT AGAIN!

In fact I'll take a 2008 Autumn and be happy with that. Mid November 2008 we had an Arctic blast which helped dropped the Avg for that season. Sept 16-25 we had a long stretch of cool weather too. In fact October had a couple cold blasts. Fall 2008 kept having all these dips in the Jet stream. LETS DO THAT AGAIN!

It's truly been a waste of a summer. Water the garden three times a day, can't go anywhere & be outside because it's so hot. I thought last summer was awful but this summer wins out. Today felt like one of the worst days of all, maybe it was just me though.

A lot of folks knock the idea of owning a pool but man, during summers like this it's a lifesaver. Yesterday was an enjoyable day between sessions in the pool and hanging out on the shady deck watching the NBA playoffs. I ran to the grocery store around 4 PM and good lord it was unbearable.
