1 1/3 inches to midnight at Hartford's Brainard Airport. At 2 AM by the Middletown/Cromwell town line area...sounds like it's showering again and the wind suddenly picked up. There was no wind over here around midnight.

83mph gust in Stony Brook, Long Island. 58mph in Greenwich.
Nantucket gusting over 50mph for past couple hours.

10:25pm-2:25am loop with wind gusts. Those icons with arrows are trees and/or wires down. Lots of 50-70mph wind gusts near the coasts.

Center of storm is now over Eastern CT/RI

1.59" in Hartford. Looks like Middletown/Cromwell could still be clipped with one more passing shower. No power issues where I'm staying at least.

As for the rain? Probably a good thing, as this d-----t map suggests. It doesn't include the rain from this storm (to Tuesday 8 AM EDT):

So who was the "jackpot" for Connecticut rain? New England for that matter? The Taunton, MA ("Boston") office claims 4 inches for Ashford in Windham County and 3.9 inches for Southington. 2.51 inches at Meriden-Markham Airport. 1.52 inches for Middletown.

As for the wind, they show a peak gust of 49 MPH at Bradley International (BDL) and 43 MPH at Brainard in Hartford (HFD). 70 MPH at Logan in Boston. Possibly as high as 90 MPH in Provincetown!

I think we're in for a good stretch of cold temps starting November. It might start next weekend.
