In the Hartford area highways are fine and just wet, town roads are snow covered and slick. If temps drop hard tonight I suppose I need to make sure the driveway and sidewalks are good and cleaned.

Long Island finally changed to snow past hour. Back edge just entered NJ. Things drying out. What you see is probably what you get... Go measure before it compacts and melts

Pretty out there

Such a boring pattern again!! We got spoiled past 10 yrs!

Latest GFS showing a blizzard NorEaster January 30th

Canadian is showing a Blizzard for the Carolinas January 31st that could come up the coast.. Last frame available for the Canadian. Something Brewing?

Edit:: And the latest Euro just out... Has a storm down south on the 29th.....will that come up the coast?? Hmmmmmm. Something Brewing?

Even that one looks too close, if SE MA is showing rain. Plus 10 days is an eternity in forecast world.

Funny you say that because Lee Goldberg on channel 7 last night is predicting a Feb with above normal temps and below normal precip

As for your posts after that the Euro and Canadian look like the pattern of a storm that would end up centered west of us and you know what that means..... GFS could be interesting though....though in another discussion GFS had that yesterday as a 952 low (equivalent to a Cat 2 hurricane) which I think would be a record for a winter Nor'easter

GFS updates 4 times a day...…

This is 2 runs in a row now and this result would be a full fledged thread starting blizzard.

Looks fast but each frame is 6hrs long, just saying.
