Temps in the 50s along the coast and a stronger sun each day.
Big 986mb storm way over the Atlantic.

Incredible out there. Really feels like Mid Spring!

So, since we're supposed to be on the "cold" side of the storm and there's wind from the north... why is it so warm??

Also, solar spring starts tomorrow! (Feb 7th-May7th, the 3 month period with the quickest increase in daylight)

Yup... we're on the NW side of the storm and there is no cold air. Incredible. I believe there is a progressive flow across the U.S which is bringing in Pacific air. Who cares. Im so done with it.

60s in Virginia today. Im ready

Near 50° here again. Mid 60s in Virginia and Maryland

I think we're ready to move onto Spring. What's the point of winter now? Maybe we'll actually get 3 months of Spring instead of 1

The Blizzard of 2013--10 years ago today...I was in the zone of 30-36 inches. Probably never see that again.

"The good old days"... of big storms. Here's the thread for that one. I miss talking about HECS (historic east coast storms)

Spoiler

Snow cover seen from Satellite

Satellite View of storm. Classic!

I miss these forecast maps!

Never say never. Remember, this is New England. In 2015 we didn't get the back door open until sometime in April and there were so many icicles on the windows that it was like prison bars. That was out in eastern MA though but it was early Feb. How about blizzards in April? The reason I moved to MA for a while. You can't win because it's so changeable.

Bridgeport, CT went from a record low of -4 below 0° (28 below normal) to a tied record high of 53° 2 days later and low 50s again today.
