Ice Storm continues! Raining in NYC & Long Island still, another batch moving in now. I hear the drops and they are freezing on contact. 31.3° here!

Above freezing at BDR and HVN finally.

Roads are fine. Untreated surfaces like sidewalks and parking lots, however...

3pm I got 1/4" on top and 1/16th on bottom. Will just call it 1/4" ice. Temp finally above 32. (32.5)

Driveway and roads are fine.

Will try to remember 1/4" ice storm with treated roads are fine. I always knew ice storms had to be like 1/2" thick to be worrysome. Got close!

Danbury forecast from latest Euro... this ice might not melt until Christmas? a little sun should do the trick

Other than 22nd, 23rd, 24th it does look warm next 10 days. Pretty normal after this weeks arctic blast

What a December! Been a while since we had a Proper Winter for December.

Tomorrow guys...

National Weather Service New York NY
357 PM EST Tue Dec 17 2019

The main concern is the potential for snow squalls in the afternoonand early evening, potentially corresponding with the evening rush. Both the NAM and GFS remain bullish on the snow squall parameter, with the upper low barreling towards the area from Canada supportingthe conceptual model. Scattered heavy snow showers have beenincluded in the forecast.

Tomorrow will be interesting for y'all. Hearing the sound of ice from trees crashing into pavement is very satisfying...

Never ever buying a house with sidewalks again. EVER! Treated, scraped from 615-7pm, now it's all white again. I don't think it ever got above freezing.
