Because it's trending warmer. Days get longer.

Now it's the reverse. It's the beginning of the end.

Maybe it's a mental thing, I don't know. But fall depresses me. Windows have been closed the past two night and I type this with sweats on, under a fleece with a cat curled up against my legs. I want to hear the birds singing!

(I still love you Cam!)

80 degrees at last check. I never thought it would climb that high with the lower September sun. It was maybe 46 when I woke up in Middletown this morning.

86 F/30 C in New Britain. Yet, I sit inside of the Berlin McDonald's with a hoodie on. Outlets are only in one corner. This seat is right under an A/C vent. Yep!

Day down to like 12h 12m. Yes, the equinox is Monday, alright.

68/59 for New Britain at 8:50 PM. Have to walk in this shortly, from Berlin into Cromwell (barely). At least it's not raining.

Honestly I think the weather since late August has been one of the nicest stretches of weather we've had in a while. Mostly mild, sunny, and not too humid. If not for the few gray and/or rainy and/or humid days, you would almost swear we were in California!

ALMOST makes up for the fact that summer as we know it here only lasted 2 months this year.

Of course we're going to pay dearly for this.

Curious where we end up..

So far Hartford -1.3° below normal.
Concord -2.3°.
Bangor -2.4°.

A month that has been below normal could end up just normal or above just because of a few days of heat. We'll see in 9 days

80s again across the region today as the ridge is over us. No clouds under a ridge. Too dry.
