Dark Blue = 23mph+. Yellows = 34mph+

Note the CT coast with the 30mph+ sustained winds. Strongest always stays off shore as usual.

This is a look at the sustained winds at 5000' per NAM3km model. 11am-5pm Tuesday. The Red is 70kts+

Very strong not far off the surface but we don't live at 5000' though. Some will mix down and that's why "GUSTS" to 40mph can happen at times.

Worse by the coast... Bring in or tie up any loose objects. Check this out! Just saw this updated Max wind gust forecast map.

71-80mph for NJ/DE.
61-70mph for NYC and its Suburbs in NJ/CT.
45-61mph across CT/RI/MA/NH

Looks like Fairfield County could see up to 60-70mph gust. Ugh!

80mph is definitely out of reach for CT imo
