So central CT might actually see some of this stuff called "rain" during Sunday night? The grass has not just turned brown, it's now white or gray. The leaves on the trees are drooping.

It really is amazing. Here in Danbury we are totally green. Thick overgrowth in the wooded areas. So big a difference.

Danbury got 2.40" in one day. Not fair. lol. Northern Fairfield has had some good rainy moments vs Southern Fairfield. But check out New Haven and Hartford Counties past 45 days. WOW. I circled all the areas under 2" in red and under 3" in Orange.

Less than 1.5" around Southington.

I think I live in the 1.38" area. I don't even remember what rain looks like. It's wet...makes the flowers grow...

ALL we ever get--and we got it again today--is that bright blaring sun and the wicked humidity! Not a single drop of rain.

That 1.24 is just about right where I am, and I think even that figure is high. I haven't had to mow my lawn since the end of June; just a couple of spot trims. We usually make up for it in the winter when it seems we're in a snow enhanced area.

Yeh, what a great place to live. Hottest and driest summers along with practically the snowiest winters. We deserve a medal.

60s is so refreshing for the coast but those 50s must be nice in the morning. Humidity levels have dropped with the passing of the cold front. Amen!!

I spy some 40s too. Freezing on top of Mt Washington this morning.
